Andrew Savery comfortably retained his BHF Warwick Half Marathon crown, winning the second running of the event by almost three minutes.

The event started out from Warwick Racecourse, taking in a scenic but undulating loop of the Warwickshire countryside with a strong breeze making exposed sections along Rouncil Lane particularly tough.

Savery led from the off, crossing the line in 1hr 12min 24sec, down 19 seconds on last year’s time.
